British artist Ben Hassett is well known for his body of editorial and portrait work that spans more than two decades.

His first monograph, COLOR, published in 2019, presented a cross section of his iconic and visceral photographic work.

His practice involves experimental photography and photographic research. He examines photography’s most significant and recurrent themes (the landscape, the still life, the nude, the floral study) and produces conceptually driven work to decode, reevaluate, and challenge conventional approaches.

In parallel to his art practice and editorial projects, Hassett continues to collaborate with advertising clients in his role as a commercial photographer and director, creating work with his signature mastery of shadow and light, color and form.

His work is held in the collection of the National Portrait gallery in London.
